Assessments

A knowledge management assessment is a methodical evaluation of an organization’s current practices, tools, and strategies as well as the active challenges. A KM assessment identifies the areas where an organization is doing well in terms of KM and gaps or needs.

Often, KM assessments are carried out using a maturity model. Concipio assessments do not use such models as they can be rigid and ineffective for developing plans of action that suit the organization’s mission and capability needs.

Instead, Concipio carries out assessments around indicators of organizational health and staff competency - e.g., feelings of autonomy, access to information, confidence in decision-making, transparent communication channels, and the existence of documented expectations (processes, training, etc.).

Solutions & Tools

Knowledge management is most effective when a combination of tools and short term to long term approaches are taken. Not all of these efforts need to be implemented at one time, but considering the lifecycle of knowledge and lifecycle of the organization will ensure the results of KM efforts are much more sustainable and successful.

Concipio has a catalogue of practices and tools that we can present and walk our customers through during an initial consultation. The options for potential solutions are plentiful and flexible.

Pricing

$75 for the initial consultation. Pricing will be based on the selection of tools and scale of implementation.
